Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos asked for a Meeting with PM Modi but he Denies

Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man and Amazon’s chief executive officer (CEO) with an estimated wealth of 115 billion dollars, was on a three-day tour of India.

Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man and Amazon’s chief executive officer (CEO) with an estimated wealth of 115 billion dollars, was on a three-day tour of India. He has returned to his country. In these three days Bezos went to Rajghat, the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi. He also met veteran businessmen and many big Bollywood actors in Mumbai. The most shocking thing in Jeff Bezos’s visit to India was that he did not meet any minister of the Modi government in these three days. If sources are to be believed, Amazon CEO wanted to meet PM Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) but his appointment was not given due consideration. According to sources, government officials said that meeting Jeff Bezos cannot be considered a compulsion of the Modi government.

According to the news agency ANI, a senior government official said that the world’s biggest e-commerce company, Amazon, is going to be in controversies behind this meeting not being possible. The Competition Commission of India is investigating Flipkart, a company owned by Amazon and Walmart in India. The purpose of this investigation is related to the huge discounts being given by the company and giving preference to exclusive products and buyers. The Amazon company is facing similar investigations in the US and Europe. At the same time, another reason is coming behind the absence of this meeting. According to information received from sources, PM Modi’s absence from Bezos is also seen in the Amazon-owned newspaper ‘Washington Post’ by linking it with anti-government articles.

In the ‘Washington Post’, anti-government articles were published from Jammu and Kashmir to abolish Article 370 and the citizenship law. Many BJP leaders condemned these articles of the ‘Washington Post’ on Twitter. Let us tell you that Jeff Bezos also announced on his tour of India that Amazon will invest about 7 thousand crores in the country. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said about this that Amazon is not doing any favor on the country. He said, “Amazon can invest one billion dollars in the country, but if the company is losing one billion dollars, then they must be arranging that one billion dollars. So it is not like that Amazon is doing India a favor by investing one billion dollars.

Jeff Bezos slips from the world's richest position, Bernard Arnault becomes the new richest man

The giant ecommerce business CEO Jeff Bezos is no longer richest person on this planet. The number one position has been taken over by Bernard Arnault, the chief executive of luxury goods behemoth LVMH.

Recently, Bezos net worth has been slipped by $761 million in the last trading session which is approximately 0.65% of his total Jeff’s net worth. The 0.65% drop seems according to his net worth but it was enough for Bernard Arnault to take over the number one position.

According Forbes, The planet’s new richest person (again): Bernard Arnault, the chief executive of luxury goods behemoth LVMH. Arnault gained $1.9 billion in net worth on Friday as LVMH stock edged up by 0.7%. The Frenchman is currently worth $117 billion, up from $102 billion when he graced the cover of Forbes less than four months ago. “If you compare us to Microsoft, [we are] small,” Arnault told Forbes. “It’s just the beginning.”

Arnault is $7 billion richer than Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates, who remains the third-wealthiest person in the world, behind Arnault and Bezos. Gates would be richer than both men had he not given $35.8 billion, and counting, to charity over his lifetime.

Arnault’s LVMH has hit the ground running in 2020. This week, its beauty incubator, Kendo, acquired the rest of Kat Von D’s eponymous beauty brand. And LVMH also bought a tennis ball-sized rough diamond — the second-largest in history — from Lucara Diamond Corp on Wednesday. The 1,758-carat gem is a timely splurge, since LVMH made a $16.2 billion bid to buy iconic jeweler Tiffany & Co. in November. Tiffany shareholders are due to vote on the deal on February 4.

Amazon also going to invest $1 billion in India to digitize the small and medium business, he also said that this investment will create 1 million jobs on coming 5 years, and recently Jeff Bezos met with top Indian industrialist on the last day of his India tour.
