After noteworthy wins in both their warm-up matches, Australia, the defending champions, begin as hot favourites against Afghanistan in the fourth match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 in Bristol on Saturday.

Afghanistan skipper Gulbadin Naib flipped the coin, and Aaron Finch’s call of heads was unsuccessful.

Afghanistan have opted to bat first, and all eyes will now be on openers Mohammad Shahzad and Hazratullah Zazai, two of the most exciting and explosive batters on show this summer.

Aaron Finch says he would have batted first too, but he will be backing his quicks to make early inroads.
