Published

Cardi B postponed her show in Texas at El Paso, which previously scheduled for tonight, due to the situations “which she can’t control”, read a press release from today. The American rapper also canceled her upcoming performance at Maryland’s 92Q Spring Bling Festival over Memorial Day Weekend, from the sources, the show has been postponed for early September.

According to a source, the artist is cancelling all performances for the remainder of May to “focus on recovering and healing,” as advised by her doctor. “After her plastic surgery, Cardi B jumped right back into her work so she wouldn’t disappoint her fans and wanted fulfill her obligations,” the insider shares. “The traveling, flying and the performances took a toll on her body.”

Her rep confirms in a statement: “Cardi was overzealous in getting back to work, she didn’t take the time necessary to fully recover from her surgery. Her strenuous schedule has taken a toll on her body and she has been given strict doctors orders to pull out of the rest of her performances in May.”

Her statement continues, “She’s very disappointed as she hates to let her fans down. She reassures them that she will see them in September.”

Earlier this month, the candid star revealed she had a bit of help getting back her pre-baby body. “I have some news for y’all,” she while performing at the Beale Street Music Festival.   “I should have canceled today… I shouldn’t really be performing because moving too much is gonna f–k up my lipo. But bitch I’m still gonna get my motherf–king money back, let’s go.”

The confession was an important one for her fans to hear, she later told E! News. “I don’t like lying about things,” she shared. “Like when you see somebody that had lipo you think that they just go into the doctor’s and like boop, you come out and you look amazing, but it’s actually like a very long process, recovery. It actually takes like a little bit more than three or four months.”

And though she admitted the end result “might not come out how you want it to be,” she is certainly “enjoying” her slimmer physique. But, don’t be fooled: She’s always been in great shape.

Jacqueline Fernandez & Badshah's 'Genda Phool' in trouble: Plagiarism Allegations

Jacqueline Fernandez starer Badshah’s track Genda Phool has reportedly landed in a copyright mess because of the Bengali lines in the track are reportedly from a Bengali folk song written by Ratan Kahar. The Genda Phool song includes lyrics, “Borlok er Bitilo, lomba lomba chul…lal genda phool” from the original folk song Borloker Bitilo. This folk song was originally written by Ratan Kahar, who did not receive due credit for the Genda Phool song. The song also has Bengali folk music and urban music. Although this song is being loved by fans, this copyright issue could be troublesome for the music producers.

According to a media portal’s report, Arghya Bose, a Doctoral researcher in France, wrote to West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee to look into this plagiarism issue.

Amidst the tense coronavirus induced lockdown, singer/rapper Badshah dropped a brand new track titled Genda Phool. This new track features none other than Jacqueline Fernandez in a Bengali avatar. The music video also includes Bengali folk music along with some new urban tunes and sounds.

Arghya Bose wrote that in the capacity of a common but responsible citizen of Bengal, he feels obliged and responsible to bring to Madam CM’s notice the exploitation of the poor artist of the state of West Bengal at this level by world-renowned artists. With his initiative, Arghya hopes that Mr. Kahar gets his due credit and material remuneration for his contribution to the song. He further explained and appreciated the West Bengal Government for their respect towards the culture and diversity of Bengal.

Selena’s Never-Ending Legacy

Published

Today is Selena’s 25th death anniversary and she is still alive in our hearts! The legend started singing at the age of 10 as she accompanied her family band “Selena Y Los Dinos”. Selena has a sturdy fan base and a huge chunk of them constitutes Latinos, who continue to see the Tejano superstar as the quintessence of American pop-culture. Monica Peralta, one of the biggest admirers of Selena has kept Selena’s legacy alive with the help of her Youtube channel where she shows how you can re-structure Selena’s fashionable stage attires.

“I felt that she was very easy for me to connect to because growing up, she was one of the only people that I could really see myself in,” said Peralta, who lives in Paramount, California.

″… She was a young Mexican American Latina who was also struggling with Spanish and just trying to be successful in life.”

Her murder in 1995 by the manager of her fan club, Yolanda SaldÍvar, who is currently serving a life sentence, came just as she was poised to cross over to the English-speaking market.

The Latina community hasn’t forgotten her. Instead, they’ve passed on her music and their fandom like a family heirloom. Another example of this, Roger Gomez of Santa Ana, California, who became a fan when he was 16, after being moved by news coverage of her death. Gomez, now 41, said he sees Selena’s fan base growing “every single day.”

“Now that we’re getting to the age where we have kids and are starting to have grandkids, we’re passing on to that generation the love of her music and everything that we’ve known about Selena throughout the years,” Gomez said.

He created a chat group to speak with other fans, which turned into a website, LoveSelena.com and eventually fan pages on Facebook and Instagram.

Even after 25 years of her death, Selena still resides in the hearts of thousands of her Latino fans and taste for her music is ever-growing.

Is Selena Gomez Spending The Quarantine Stalking EX Justin Beiber?

Published

on

Popstar Selena Gomez recently liked and unliked two photographs of pop singer Justin Bieber on Instagram and we wonder if she is stalking her ex-boyfriend, now married to Hailey Baldwin, or has her account been hacked?

Fans were puzzled when they saw that some photographs of Bieber were liked by Gomez’s Instagram account last weekend, before unliking the same. They called it a hack job, reports Dailymail.

On Saturday, actor Moises Arias posted a black and white torso shot of Bieber and his tattoos. The Gomez fan account under the name “The Selena Rundown” managed to take a screenshot of the star’s account having liked the image captioned “thug life”. The like was removed in a short while.

A second photograph posted by a “Jelena” (Justin and Selena) fan account, that showed them during one of the last months of their relationship in 2018 was also liked by Selena’s Instagram account but in 30 minutes after the account grabbed her like, it was removed.

The fans made their own assumptions in the comments and several of them pointed towards hacking.

One wrote: “She is obviously hacked sis is not crazy”, while another added: “I thinks she’s hacked.”

Some said that “just admit she’s messy” and another saying, “Can someone take her phone away from her please”.

Bieber and Gomez dated on and off between 2010 and 2018 and earlier this year Selena even said how the relationship was emotionally abusive.
