Fortnite Floating Rings at Weeping Woods, Collect Stone, Yarn and ALL Week 7 challenges

Published

on

Fortnite fans are working their way through the Season 3, Week 7 challenges on PS4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch.

If you own the Battle Pass and want to earn the very best rewards, then completing challenges are the best way to level up.

You’ll earn a sizeable 35,000 XP for completing each challenge, making it a relatively quick and easy way to earn some new items from the Battle Pass.

The Week 7 challenges aren’t exactly the most exciting, but the plus side is that they’re pretty easy to complete.

Needless to say, the challenges task players with searching chests, eliminating enemies and in the case of Week 7, collect stone and balls of yarn.

There’s another Floating Rings challenge to sink your teeth into, not to mention one challenge in which you’ll need to regain health or shields by using SLURP at Slurpy Swamp.

To make things easier on you, Express Online has rounded up all of the week 7 challenges with solutions and map locations.

First up let’s talk about the floating rings at Weeping Woods, which can be found atop the trees in the Point of Interest.

As you can see from the map above, the rings are all pretty close to each other, although reaching them can be tricky early on in the game.

You’ll need plenty of building materials if you want to collect the rings in a single game, so it might be worth landing nearby and collecting wood and stone.

Once you’ve got enough materials, just use them to create a series of ramps and platforms between each ring.

Alternatively, you can complete this challenge over the course of five games, by setting the marker and landing on top of the different Floating Rings.

For the next challenge you’ll need to find three balls of yarn at Catty Corner, which can be found in the G7 square of the map.

The first Ball of Yarn can be found on top of a small platform just outside of Catty Corner. The second is behind the gas station store – just by the stairs at the back.

The final Ball of Yarn is up the stairs on the second floor of the gas station. There are additional Balls of Yarn, so don’t worry of you miss one, because you may end up stumbling upon another.

Check out the video below for a closer look at the Balls of Yarn map locations in Catty Corner.

While all of the remaining challenges are pretty self-explanatory, some fans are struggling to find the Rapid’s Rest landmark.

As you can see from the map below, the Rapid’s Rest landmark can be found to the east of Lazy Lake. Once there, you’ll need to collect 300 units of Stone to complete the challenge.

Just set your marker to G6 on the map, and drop directly in from the Battle Bus. You’ll know you’re in the right location because the game will point it out in the bottom left of the screen.

Once you’ve landed at Rapid’s Rest, just start bashing away at all the rocks to rack up the stone you need to complete the challenge.

In terms of challenges that require players to eliminate enemies, it’s best to land at the required locations at the start of a game, when more players are battling it out.

The remaining Week 7 challenges can be seen below…

Suicide Squad Game Announced By Batman: Arkham Developer Rocksteady

Published

By

After a five-year wait, Rocksteady Studios, the developer behind the Batman: Arkham trilogy, has announced its next project is a Suicide Squad game.

Rather than opting for any fanfare, the studio simply tweeted out the reveal with an image of Superman (or could that be Bizzaro?) and a Suicide Squad logo. Evidently, we’ll know more when DC FanDome kicks off at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on Saturday, August 22. The free one-day virtual event is set to showcase what DC has coming up in the future, including The Batman, Zack Synder’s cut of Justice League, The Suicide Squad, and now Rocksteady’s take on the team of dysfunctional supervillains.

Could Superman be the villain?

The reveal of a Suicide Squad game isn’t as surprising as it could have been after a recent report suggested Rocksteady was working on such a project. A cache of registered domain names may also hint at the game’s full title and indicate its central idea, with one called “SuicideSquadKillTheJusticeLeague.com.” The image Rocksteady has shared may also add some credence to the report. The Suicide Squad logo looks like it’s intended to be a crosshair targeting Superman’s head, which would fit if the game is indeed about killing off the Justice League.
