GeForce Now will now automatically sync to your Steam library



GeForce Now users can sync their Steam libraries to their accounts with Nvidia’s new Game Sync feature. Compatible games will appear in the My Library section of Game Sync, Nvidia announced.

The “bring your own game” cloud service, which launched its paid tier earlier this year, allows users to play games purchased through other platforms— including Steam, the Epic Games STore,, and Uplay— in the cloud. But searching for games in your Steam library that were compatible with GeForce Now was a bit of a slog.

The new feature will identify games in a user’s Steam library supported by GeForce Now and will add them to the “My Library” list within the app automatically, Nvidia says. To sync your Steam account with your GeForce Now library, go to Game Sync in Settings whenever you purchase a new game via Steam.

When Nvidia launched the paid tier of GeForce Now it caused some controversy among game publishers, who saw it as a way for users to access copyrighted content without publishers’ permission, and several pulled their games from GeForce Now. Nvidia updated its policy in May, requiring publishers and developers to opt in to the platform to have their games available to be played remotely on Nvidia’s servers.

PlayStation 5 will support PS4 controllers, but only for playing PS4 games




Sony is confirming today that its existing PS4 controller will not work with PS5 games. “We believe that PS5 games should take advantage of the new capabilities and features we’re bringing to the platform, including the features of DualSense wireless controller,” says Sony in a statement confirming the company’s plans.

Sony says that existing DualShock 4 controllers and officially licensed third-party PS4 controllers “will work with supported PS4 games.” Sony doesn’t list its supported games, but the company does confirm that officially licensed racing wheels, arcade sticks, and flight sticks will work with PS5 games and supported PS4 games. Sony’s existing PS Move Motion Controllers and the PlayStation VR Aim Controller will also work with supported PS VR games on the PS5.

This move does mean that PS5 owners will need to buy additional controllers to play PS5 games, much like how PS3 controllers didn’t work on the PS4. While Microsoft’s Xbox 360 controllers didn’t work on the Xbox One, the company has committed to supporting Xbox One controllers on the upcoming Xbox Series X console.

Microsoft has made only minor changes to its Xbox Series X controller, allowing the company more freedom for existing hardware to work with future games. Sony, on the other hand, has designed its PS5 DualSense controller around adaptive triggers, an integrated microphone, and new haptic feedback technology. Even the PS5 game that’s bundled with the console, Astro’s Playroom, looks like a showcase for DualSense’s new features.

Fortnite cars release date: Are cars coming to Fortnite THIS week? Cars launch latest




Leakers later claimed that the Fortnite cars feature would be arriving as part of update 13.30 on July 21.

However, when that Fortnite patch was deployed and cars weren’t added to Battle Royale it was thought the feature would be arriving a few days later.

It seemed all but certain that Fortnite cars would get added on July 23 alongside a cars-specific challenge that had leaked.

This challenge which was pencilled in for Fortnite season 3 week 6 was ‘gas up a vehicle at Catty Corner’.

But when these challenges went live this cars-themed task was nowhere to be seen, with Epic Games later teasing the cars launch was a few weeks away.

On Thursday July 23 the official Fortnite Twitter posted: “Our lawyers are currently sweating the policy details and fixing typos like ‘otter coverage’ instead of auto coverage. Due to this, many vehicles got taken for inspection.

“Expect a few weeks until we’re road ready.”

Rogue Company August update patch notes: New map, shooting gallery, nerfs and beta keys




The Rogue Company beta is in full swing on PS4, Xbox One, PC (via Epic Game Store) and Nintendo Switch.

Developed by First Watch Games and published by Hi-Rez Studios, Rogue Company is a tactical third-person shooter featuring a variety of different agents.

Each agent has their own set of unique abilities, which makes Rogue Company feel a bit like a third-person version of Overwatch.

The closed beta is currently available as a free download with a beta key – which you can get by following the game on Twitter and taking part in regular giveaways – or by purchasing a starter pack on the platform of your choice.

With the full game launching as a free-to-play release later this year, the closed beta will be used to fine-tune the gameplay, eliminate bugs, and add new features ahead of launch.

This begins with a big new update in the coming days, which based on the early patch notes, introduces a new map, shooting gallery and much more.

According to game designer Nick Keogh, the mid-August Rogue Company update will add a brand new map called Vice.

The flashy new map is described as having “the most electrifying visuals” in Rogue Company yet.

Vice will launch alongside a shooting gallery, which lets you practice with the game’s weapons against various bots. The shooting gallery will launch with a fairly basic art style, although Keogh suggests that the visuals will be updated over time.

Arguably one of the best new additions is the Deserter Penalty, which aims to address the problem of mis-matched teams online.

Any players who fall foul of the penalty will be unable to queue for player-vs-player battles for a short time.

Needless to say, the next major Rogue Company update will also contain lots of bug fixes, tweaks and gameplay balances.

Scorch’s Overheat ability, for example, is getting a big nerf. The powerful ability will now last for ten seconds compared to 15 seconds.

Elsewhere, Smoke Grenades will expand much faster, but also dissipate far quicker, while the area of effect of Flashbangs has increased.

Individual characters will also be altered as part of the new update, including Anvil, Lancer and Dallas.
