Nicki Minajs Ex Boyfriend Accuses Singer of Stabbing Him During Violent Assault I Almost Died

Nicki Minaj’s Ex Boyfriend Accuses Singer of Stabbing Him During Violent Assault: ‘I Almost Died’: Nicki Minaj and her Ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels (American rapper) got into a heated Twitter feud as he accused her of assault during their 12-year relationship.

Following Minaj’s radio interview with Hot 97, during which she addressed her ex Safaree Samuels, he made claims about a physical altercation that took place before they broke up in 2014.

“Remember the night you cut me and I almost died the police and ambulance had to take me out the crib on a stretcher,” tweeted Samuels, who stars in VH1’s franchise Love & Hip Hop. “I had to lie and tell them I was trying to kill myself so they wouldn’t take you to jail. When things like that start happening more Than once it’s time to dip.”

Minaj, 35, quickly responded to Samuels’ allegation on Twitter.

“U stole my card & told me you thought it was an account with ‘free money’ that I didn’t know about. On God. God will strike you down & more for lying. Ha! Stop saying u packed & left! On Jesus u came to my house CRYING BEGGING to go w/me to Europe to the EMA’s. I said NO DUMMY,” she wrote.

Then Samuels fired back, denying that he “use” her credit card.

“We know each other inside out. Everything there was for us. I didn’t use your card for prostitutes. We both didn’t trust each other. You did s— I did s—. You said you were messing with meek a few years b4 y’all got together and I’m not mad at that.

Minaj previously rapped about not meaning “to cut” an ex in her 2014 song “Bed of Lies,” though she did not name Samuels specifically.

“I could tell you lying, get the f— out, don’t yell at me/ I ain’t mean to cut you I ain’t wanna catch a felony,” she said.

According to multiple outlets, a video released in 2014 shows Minaj chasing Samuels with a knife.

Samuels also recalled their “toxic” decade together, tweeting: “Towards the end it got toxic and I just packed up and left. I did things for spite and so did you. I don’t wish you bad and I don’t want us back together just like I’m sure you don’t. I don’t need you, you don’t need me but we will always be linked in the public no matter what.”

He even cordially wrote, “I still don’t have no hate for you cuz I’m happy in my own mind now. Enjoy your album dropping.”

Also referenced in their Twitter feud was Tyga, who Minaj said went to the same doctor as Samuels for a hairline surgery.

“I should’ve never paid for that Damn hairline!!!! It fell back out cuz God don’t like ugly!!!! You used me but God had other plans!!!!!” she tweeted.

But Samuels said he and Tyga went to different surgeons.

“1st off Me and tyga didn’t go to the same dr. We did it the same day. Diff doctors. Listen I don’t know if this has to do with 1st week sales but you need to finish your zen,” Samuels retorted.

Shania Twain will perform a duet with Orville Peck on his forthcoming EP, ‘Show Pony’. The track, titled ‘Legends Never Die’, is one of six songs to appear on the record.

In a recent press release, Peck expressed his excitement to work with Twain.

“Working with Shania was a dream come true,” he said. “Her music made me feel empowered as a kid and was a huge influence on me.”

Twain teased news of her collaboration last week (May 29), tweeting, “baby we’ve been up all night”. Peck subsequently retweeted Twain’s elusive post.

The news of Peck’s collaboration with Twain follows the release of his latest single, ‘No Glory In The West’. The track, released on May 29, is accompanied by a video clip directed by Carlos Santolalla. ‘No Glory In The West’ is the second single from ‘Show Pony’, following on from the release of ‘Summertime’.

‘Show Pony’ hits shelves and streaming services on June 12, and is Peck’s follow-up to ‘Pony’, which was released last year. Compared to its predecessor, the singer said ‘Show Pony’ “is a more confident perspective and allows me to share even more both lyrically and musically”.

“Like all country albums, ‘Show Pony’ is a little collection of stories – some sad, some happy – and I am excited for people to hear it.”

Kehlani, Tinashe criticise Lana Del Rey for posting protester footage

Lana Del Rey has found herself in hot water (again) after posting footage of protesters in Los Angeles without blurring or covering their faces to protect their identity.

Earlier this weekend (May 31), Del Rey took to the streets of LA to join one of the many protests happening around the world in support of #BlackLivesMatter. The protests are seeking justice for George Floyd and the many other African American victims of police brutality.

In a since-deleted video posted to Instagram, she allegedly shared footage of protesters and people looting. Del Rey allegedly zoomed in on the protesters, leaving their identities exposed.

Various other musicians, including Tinashe and Kehlani, called Del Rey out, letting her know the dangers of the post.

“.@LanaDelRey please remove your instagram post it’s dangerous as f–k and a very poor choice of moments to post,” Kehlani wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

“by all means protest, but DO NOT endanger people with your very massive platform. oh and turn your f–kin comments on man.”

Tinashe also took to Twitter, writing, “@LanaDelRey why the fuck are you posting people looting stores on your page literally WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM.”

She then thanked Lana for reportedly deleting the video.

However, Kehlani later said that Lana allegedly re-posted a version of the offending video in which protestors’ faces were still visible.

“i was told the post was deleted and that was my point so i deleted the tweet but i guess it’s not deleted it’s just reposted?” Kehlani wrote.

“leaving it up on my story but hopefully if she gets enough dm’s she will take it completely down.”

Lana Del Rey faced huge backlash last month following a post in which she called out several Black female artists and hit back at claims she was “glamorizing abuse”.

“Now that Doja Cat, Ariana, Camila, Cardi B, Kehlani and Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé have had number ones with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, fucking, cheating, etc,” she wrote, “can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money – or whatever i want – without being crucified or saying that I’m glamorising abuse???????”

Following criticism, Del Rey doubled down on her message, saying that she’s “not the enemy” and “definitely not racist.”

In another Instagram post, she announced that her new album is titled ‘Chemtrails Over The Country Club’ and will be out September 5.

Halsey hit by rubber bullet at George Floyd protest

Published

Halsey has released a series of posts detailing her experience with police at the Los Angeles George Floyd protest, including an injury she received from being hit with a rubber bullet.

The singer attended the Black Lives Matter rally with Yungblud on Saturday (May 30). She livestreamed parts of the protest, including encounters with police. Yesterday, she took to social media to clarify she was not arrested and is safe, but many others aren’t.

“[The police] fired rubber bullets at us. We did not breach the line. Hands were up. Unmoving. And they gassed and fired,” Halsey posted with photos of the altercation.

“This hit me through layers of fabric and for that, I am extremely privileged. At close range it would have caused serious injury,” she wrote on a recent, since-expired Instagram story, cited by Stereogum.

“They were fired at peoples’ faces during peaceful moments of the demonstration. If you’re a follower of mine who ‘stays out of it’ but you’re mad I have a little bruise for doing nothing unlawful, then consider you ARE on our side. Because the reality of what happens to black folks everyday is worse than my bruise. So get involved. Sign. Donate. Share links. Do something.”

Halsey has compiled a list of organisations that support the Black Lives Matter movement, and is encouraging fans to donate within their means. On the day of posting (May 29) she stated her “initial contributions” are USD$100,000.

On Thursday (May 28), Halsey made a passionate Instagram post with a photo of George Floyd and links to both protest his death to state government and a memorial Go Fund Me page. In the caption she said, “if you have family and friends privileged enough to ‘stay away from this kind of news’ then take that fucking privilege away.”

A Twitter thread from the same day saw the singer calling out celebrities for “choosing to be silent” because “a brand is more important and they want to keep pocketing the money of racists.”

Halsey is continuing to protest. This morning (June 1), she tweeted: “Santa Monica I’m here I have medical supplies lots of it. They are masking.”
