Another twist in the Nirbhaya case: Convict Pawan challenged the High Court’s decision by filing a petition in SC

There has been another twist in the Nirbhaya case. Convicted of Nirbhaya gang rape and murder, Pawan challenged the High Court’s decision by filing a petition in the Supreme Court. The High Court dismissed his plea to be a minor. Explain that the mercy petition of Mukesh Singh, one of the four convicts of the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case, was rejected by the President. The Ministry of Home Affairs sent to President Ramnath Kovind on Thursday. Along with this, the Ministry of Home Affairs had also recommended the President to reject this petition. At the same time, the four convicts of the Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case were shifted to imprisonment number three of Tihar Jail premises on Thursday where they are to be hanged. Vinay Sharma, Akshay Kumar Singh, Mukesh Kumar Singh and Pawan Gupta, convicted in the case, are to be hanged on January 22.

Although, the culprits of Nirbhaya gang rape and murder were found guilty on Thursday for delay in hanging the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party where BJP said the involvement and negligence of Delhi government in delay in hanging. Accusing the BJP of misleading people, he said that law and order is with the Center.

Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar told reporters that if the AAP government had given notice to all the culprits immediately after the Supreme Court order dismissing the appeal against the death penalty in 2017, they would have been hanged by now. And the country would have got justice. He said, ‘If he has not been hanged yet, it is because of the negligence of the AAP government. The involvement of AAP government in Delhi was delayed by more than two and a half years. The Delhi government has sympathy with the culprits and this delay is a result of this.
