After the meeting of PM with other states chief minister, the nation is expecting lockdown extension till 30th April. Now It’s the government which has to decide whether to care about the economy or to care about it’s people. It will be a difficult decision for the government as a result the news is coming that the govt might opt for a balanced approach and will divide the nation into different zones:-
The districts with substantial numbers of positive cases would fall under the red zone. The coronavirus red zone will be totally sealed and no activity will take place.
The areas with limited number of cases in the past and with no surge in positive cases recently would be included under the orange zone. Only restricted activities such as limited public transport and farm product harvesting is expected to be allowed in coronavirus
The districts with no coronavirus positive cases would fall under the green zone.
In the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, chief ministers reportedly rooted for limited movement of people in the extended lockdown period. They also asked for opening of liquor shops since these generate a substantial part of the state revenue.
Several states such as Maharashtra, Punjab, Telangana and others have already extended the lockdown till April 30.
Soon after Saturday’s meeting, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was in news when he tweeted that the PM has agreed to extend the lockdown and expressed his gratitude.
PM has taken correct decision to extend lockdown. Today, India’s position is better than many developed countries because we started lockdown early. If it is stopped now, all gains would be lost. To consolidate, it is imp to extend it
