Saif Ali Khan explain the story behind Split From Amrita Singh to Sara and Ibrahim

Saif Ali Khan, who was married to actress Amrita Singh for 13 years, was asked about how he told young Sara Ali Khan and son Ibrahim about their separation in an interview with Pinkvilla.

Saif and Amrita divorced in 2004. Sara was just about nine years old and Ibrahim three. Speaking to Pinkvilla, the Tanhaji actor said: “It’s the worst thing in the world. That is something I still feel I wish could have been different. I don’t think I will ever really be okay with that. I mean you understand that certain things can’t be out, I mean I try my best to make peace with them and with myself saying that ‘I was 20 and I was quite young and so much changes’ but I mean you feel bad but it is a strange thing.”

Saif, who couldn’t seem to stop himself from talking more about it, added: “Sometimes you can’t really imagine. Parents is a strange thing – you like to think of them as together but as individuals units as well. You don’t like to think of them making out, you don’t like to think of them really joined. So it’s like a thing. Everyone can be okay with a modern relationship also. I don’t think any child should be really deprived of a very warm home.”

Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim are Saif’s children with Amrita Singh. Saif married Kareena Kapoor in 2012 and the couple are parents to three-year-old son Taimur. Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim stay with Amrita Singh and are often spotted spending festivals at dad Saif’s residence with Kareena and Taimur.

On her debut appearance on Koffee With Karan last year, Sara appeared rather comfortable talking about Saif and Amrita’s separation as she told show host Karan Johar: “They would have been very unhappy together had they stuck together. They took the right decision and now, everyone’s happy. I’m happy, abba is happy, mumma is happy, and Kareena is happy. I have two comfortable homes now, rather than having an uncomfortable home.” She even spoke about Amrita Singh helping her get ready for Saif’s wedding with Kareena.

On the work front, Saif Ali Khan will next be seen in Jawaani Jaaneman, which releases on January 31.

Ek Villain 2: Aditya Roy Kapur EXITS Mohit Suri’s Film, What Went Wrong?
Ek Villain 2: Aditya Roy Kapur EXITS Mohit Suri’s Film, What Went Wrong?

Aditya Roy Kapur and Mohit Suri are the perfect actor-director duo. The two have collaborated on 2 films previously – Malang and Ek Villain. And both of them have been successful. Nobody can miss out on the music as well as the dreamy pairing of Shraddha Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra from the original. Meanwhile, Disha Patani’s groovy moves in 2019 starrer were a rage too!

But amidst all the good news, Aditya has now reportedly opted out of Ek Villain 2. The film was being planned with multiple A-listers. John Abraham and Kapur were the leading men. On the other hand, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria were cast as the actresses. But looks like there’s a halt in the project now as the former actor has exited the film.

As per recent reports, there were creative differences between Aditya Roy Kapur and Mohit Suri. Everyone knows that Aditya was equally involved even in Malang. The actor quite actively contributes on the creative ends, and that has always worked well between them. However, not this time.

A source close to Pinkvilla reveals the same as, “When Aditya was offered the part, he was extremely kicked about his role and the way Mohit has mounted the action set pieces in the film. It’s even bigger than the way he devised the same for Malang. But in the last few weeks, Mohit and Adi were continuously having creative differences on the script and his role. There was a mutual decision taken by both of them where they finally decided to go ahead with the film, without Adi. There’s no bad blood between the two. They both share a great relationship and parted ways on this film on an amicable note.”

The report further states that Aditya Roy Kapur has bagged another big project. The film is backed by a reputed production house. So, that has been causing issues in the dates as well.

It is indeed sad we won’t be able to see the reunion of Aditya Roy Kapur and Mohit Suri once again. Although, there’s no official confirmation yet, time will tell.

Saif Ali Khan Opens On Nepotism Debate Post Sushant Singh Rajput Death

Saif Ali Khan has created a niche fan base for himself. The actor has proved his acting capabilities with projects like Sacred Games, Tanhaji, Love Aaj Kal amongst others. With Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, a lot of A-listers are being on the receiving end of the backlash. The actor is now opening up how he has been a victim of nepotism too.

For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide. Many industry members including Karan Johar, Salman Khan are being blamed for it. Along with that, subjects of nepotism and favouritism have surfaced too. Saif when asked about the same, shared he has been a victim too.

In a conversation with The Indian Express, Saif Ali Khan said, “There is inequality in India that needs to be explored. Nepotism, favoritism, and camps are different subjects. Even I have been a victim of nepotism but nobody speaks of that. I’m happy to see more people from film institutes come to the forefront.”

Furthermore, Saif Ali Khan was asked about his stance on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan and Kangana Ranaut’s statement.

“I have no idea what Kangana was saying on Koffee with Karan because I don’t think like that. As far as Karan is concerned, he has made himself a large symbol and it seems like he’s attracting a lot of flak for it. The truth is always complicated. There’s much more to it but people aren’t interested in that. I hope the tide is over and better things shine through,” he responded.

Saif Ali Khan also revealed of his time with Sushant Singh Rajput on Dil Bechara sets. What came in as a complimenting statement was when he confessed that Sushant was more intelligent than him.

“He (Sushant) was a talented actor and a good-looking guy. I thought he had a bright future. He was polite to me and appreciated my guest appearance in the film. He wanted to talk about many topics like astronomy and philosophy. I got the feeling he was brighter than I was,” concluded Saif Ali Khan.
