So Cute! Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Adopt New Rescue Dog Panda

Party of five! Nick Jonas and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, have added a new furry friend to their family — a Husky-Australian Shepherd mix named Panda.

The couple — who tied the knot in December 2018 — introduced their pup via Instagram on Saturday, August 8, in a photo featuring themselves playing with Panda and their German Shepherd Gino.

“Our new family portrait,” the Quantico alum, 38, captioned the post. “Welcome to the family, Panda! We adopted this little rescue (soon he won’t be so little) just a few weeks ago. We can’t be sure but he seems to be a Husky Australian Shepard mix…. and those eyes… and the ears!!!”

Chopra added that their other dog, Diana, wasn’t there for the impromptu portrait so they decided to photoshop her into the snapshot.

“BTW @diariesofdiana wasn’t around for our little photoshoot, but we couldn’t leave our #1 girl out…so…we made it work,” she wrote.

Jonas, 27, posted the same photo on his Instagram writing, “Welcome to the family Panda! Panda is a Husky Australian Shepard mix rescue and we’re already in love.”

Panda was also greeted into the Chopra-Jonas clan on Diana and Gino’s Instagram pages, which featured photos and videos of the new puppy.

“These kids … looks like I’ve got my work cut out for me. #ElderSisterDuties,” Diana’s post read. Gino’s caption added, “Boundaries bro… boundaries.”

Chopra has been quarantined with Jonas and their pets amid the coronavirus pandemic. The actress told British Vogue in July that they’ve helped her feel positive while she’s been separated from other members of her family.

“Although it has been really, really difficult being apart from my mom and brother, who are both in India, I’m so grateful to have spent time with my husband, family and dogs, but mostly with my 4-year-old niece, Krishna,” she said at the time. “It’s been incredible watching her discover new things.”

The “Jealous” singer has also been enjoying self-isolation with his wife. He explained to SiriusXM Hits 1’s Celebrity Session in May that the quarantine has allowed them to spend more time together — a task that can be hard with busy schedules.

“[We] only got married like a year ago and a half ago, so it’s been nice to actually have some time at home together, which we didn’t have,” Jonas said. “Similarly, she’s really busy as well in this time, and we’re working from home. So we have that time where it’s sort of structured. Like, we work out together, do our thing, and then do our work and come back and have our nights together and it’s really lovely.”

Stars Adopting or Fostering Pups Amid Coronavirus: Nick Jonas and More!

Stars’ best friends! Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and more celebrities have turned to their furry friends for comfort during the coronavirus outbreak — and many are providing forever homes to pups in need.

The “Slide Away” singer, 27, and boyfriend Cody Simpson introduced their rescue pup Bo to their Instagram followers earlier this month, adding to Cyrus’ growing menagerie of pets. The Disney alum spoke with the owner of California’s Wagmor Luxury Spa, Hotel & Rescue, Melissa Bacelar, during a recent episode of her Instagram Live series and discussed how the current COVID-19 crisis has impacted animal shelters across the country.

“[Bo] was so shy when we first got him and he’s totally out of his shell now. He’s such a mama’s boy, which I love,” Cyrus told the shelter owner earlier this month.

Gomez, also 27, also used her platform to encourage fans to think of the canine companions who are in need of a safe home during this hectic time. “I would like to introduce my new family member, Daisy,” the Spring Breakers actress said during a livestream on Instagram in March. “I know a few friends who are fostering right now, just to give animals a safe place … I couldn’t help it, I had to keep her.”

Not only does fostering or adopting a pet benefit the lucky pups who are given forever homes, but having the support of a pet is equally as beneficial for the new caretakers, especially during periods of high stress. For actress Camila Morrone, fostering her husky was “the single best decision” she could have made for her mental health during her self-quarantine.

“For all my friends showing interest in doing this, DO IT,” the 22-year-old Argentina native captioned a snuggly Instagram post of herself and her new pup, noting that fostering an animal in need is a life-changing experience. “You won’t regret it ❤️❤️❤️❤️ these sweet creatures need you so badly.”

Self-Love! Charlize Theron’s Most Empowering Quotes About Being Single

Putting herself first! Charlize Theron isn’t bothered by her single status — and doesn’t think anybody else should be either.

The South Africa native previously dated Trapped costar Stuart Townsend from 2001 to 2010 and moved on with Sean Penn three years later. Theron and the Milk actor were rumored to be engaged in December 2014 but their romance came to an end six months later.

“There is a need to sensationalize things,” the Bombshell actress later told WSJ magazine after splitting from Penn. “We were in a relationship and then it didn’t work anymore. And we both decided to separate. That’s it.”

Five years after calling it quits from the Into the Wild director, Theron set the record straight about the status of their relationship.

“No. I did not ‘almost get married to Sean.’ That’s such bulls–t. We dated. That was literally all we did,” she explained on The Howard Stern Show in June 2020 after Howard Stern implied that Penn had proposed. “We dated and then we didn’t date. … I wasn’t gonna marry him. It was nothing like that.”

Though she’s never settled down, Theron has adopted two children: Jackson in March 2012 and August in July 2015. She told Stern that she’s “never been lonely” because she already gets to spend each day raising the “great loves” of her life. Marriage has “never been something that’s important to me,” she asserted.

While the Long Shot star is completely comfortable on her own, she’s taught her children that they should never feel pressured to start a relationship or get married because of societal expectations.

“We are raising a generation of young girls who realize that there is absolutely no shame in that game to be in relationship with yourself— to not fall into what society kind of predicts for us as what is socially acceptable: If you are not in a relationship, somehow you’re a failure,” Theron said during a July 2020 episode of the “InCharge with DVF” podcast. “Those are all constructs that we need to change.”
