Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Bihar Police says none of the SIM cards used by the actor was registered under his name

The Bihar Police started investigating the death of Sushant Singh Rajput after his father lodged an FIR in Patna. According to the Bihar Police, the late actor who had changed his SIM card several times in the last few months had none of them registered in his own name.

Talking to a news agency, Bihar Police revealed that the SIM cards used by the actor were not under his name. They said that one of them was registered in the name of his friend Siddharth Pithani. They are now tracking the call details.

The Bihar police will also be investigating the death of Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Disha Salian who died on June 8, six days before the actor’s demise. They said that they will be interrogating Disha’s family, however, have not been able to establish any contact with them.

After Sushant’s father lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, a four-member Bihar Police team arrived in Mumbai to probe the matter. They have been recording statements of people close to the actor. On Friday, filmmaker Rumi Jaffrey’s statement was recorded. He had signed Sushant and Rhea for his upcoming film.

Urvashi Rautela reacts to National Commission for Women’s notice to her in the IMG Ventures case

On Thursday, the National Commission for Women tweeted that they have sent out notices to Urvashi Rautela, Mouni Roy, Mahesh Bhatt, Rannvijay Singha, Esha Gupta and Prince Narula in a case related to the promoter of IMG Ventures, Mr Sunny Verma. Urvashi has now reacted to the notice and said that she was associated to them only in capacity of a celebrity jury for an event.

Social activist Yogita Bhayana had  filed a complaint against Sunny Verma and his company (IMG ventures) for allegedly blackmailing and sexually assaulting a number of women on the pretext of modelling opportunities. Bhayana has also named various Bollywood celebrities in her complaint.

“In light of the shocking development and unfolding of scandalizing allegations pressed on IMG Venture (our then client), I have been attracting a great deal of hatred and animosity from all quarters and have found myself to be at the receiving end of this disgraceful revelation. My official association with the client was purely centered on rendering my services towards the on-ground finale event happening in November as the scope of a celebrity jury. I was in no capacity involved with the selection process, operations of the event, and neither is the knowledge of the same,” Urvashi said in her statement to IANS. 

“We are saddened to learn about the allegations made on the ownership of the event that surfaced recently on social media and was highly condemn such inhumane acts and behaviour that endangers the dignity and safety of our women,” she further said.  

The actress said that she and her team have terminated all their ties with the client with immediate effect.

“I will be glad to assist them in any possible way and guide them better. I have always advocated and lent our voice for women’s rights and empowerment and hopefully, we can create a progressive and secure professional ecosystem for the women of our society,” said Urvashi.

Bihar Government files affidavit in SC saying Rhea Chakraborty’s plea is not maintainable regarding Sushant Singh Rajput death case

After Sushant Singh Rajput’s father filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty for fraud and abetment of suicide in Patna, she filed a transfer plea in Supreme Court. Rhea Chakraborty wanted the primary investigation to be transferred to Mumbai from Bihar and now, the latter’s government has submitted an affidavit in Supreme Court challenging the same. According to the affidavit, Rhea’s transfer plea can be rejected since it is not maintainable and misconceived under the CrPC section 179.

The affidavit also states that the Bihar Government has jurisdiction over the case since the FIR was filed there. Rhea Chakraborty’s petition states that the Bihar Government has no jurisdiction since the entire case arose in Mumbai, can be rendered invalid under section 179 of CrPC. Now that the case has been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation, Rhea Chakraborty was summoned at the Enforcement Directorate for questioning regarding the money laundering charges.

Details regarding her plea are still awaited from the Supreme Court.

Sunil Grover to come up with a new show called Gangs Of Filmistan

The actor has now planned to make a comeback on television with a new show called Gangs Of Filmistan. The show will not have celebrity guests or live audience, neither is he planning to bring back his old characters. He will be seen playing the role of a don on the show and is excited to be back.

Speaking to another portal, Sunil Grover said that he cannot find a vaccine for COVID-19, so he’s going to do what he’s best at – entertaining. This is the first time that he will be sitting on the opposite side of the stage and will be adhering to the social distancing norm. He will be accompanied by a star cast consisting of Sanket Bhosale, Sugandha Mishra, Shilpa Shinde, Paritosh Tripathi, Jatin Suri, and Sidharth Sagar. Even though he did not plan to do a show earlier, Sunil Grover says that this offer was too good to pass out on.

The show Gangs Of Filmistan will air on Star Bharat.
