Bangladesh Require 387 to Win ICC World Cup 2019 England vs Bangladesh

June 8, 2019 by Deepak Jangra Leave a Comment

Match highlights so far:

  • Bangladesh win the toss and bowl first
  • Roy finally out for 153 off 121 balls
  • England cruise past record ODI score at Cardiff as they post 386/6
  • Bangladesh require 387 to win

Watch live score of this match here!

This is a massive total from England. There wasn’t a whole heap of help for the bowlers from the pitch, but with one very big boundary, and a little bit of swing in the air, this is surely well above par.

Jos Buttler batted fantastically for his 64, and Plunkett and Woakes pushed the total even higher than it looked like it was going to be in the final few overs. But the story of the innings was Jason Roy’s magnificent 153 off just 121 balls. He and Bairstow set the platform for the rest of the batsmen to attack from, and that’s surely going to be up there for one of the finest innings of the tournament come the end.

It’s going to require something very special to chase this down.

Also, Buttler will not field due to tightness in his right hip, which is what he was struggling with while batting. Bairstow will take the gloves.

It’s Match 12 of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 with hosts England set to take on Bangladesh in Cardiff. Both teams suffered close defeats in their previous outings and will be eager to set things right. England go in as favourites, but in a tournament such as this, tags don’t count for much. Bangladesh have competed amazingly well in their two games and should they come out on top on Saturday, it won’t be an upset.

We bring you live updates from the game.

ICC World Cup 2019 England vs Bangladesh Live Score and Updates

Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to field

No great surprise there. Bowling first has been the go to option so far in this tournament and I wouldn’t expect that to change.

Just the one change across the two teams, with Liam Plunkett coming back into the side. Moeen Ali makes way for him, so Joe Root is England’s second spinner today. Plenty of seam options though on this green pitch. Bangladesh play the same XI who lost narrowly to New Zealand on Wednesday.

South Africa vs Bangladesh, Live Cricket Match, ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Latest Updates: South Africa, who beat England by 104 runs in the first match of the ICC World Cup 2019, will face Bangladesh on their Kinnington Oval ground in their second match. The weakness in his batting against England was clearly exposed. True, the team’s batting is dependent on captain Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock. Apart from these, he does not have any other batsman who can look amazing. However, there are experienced players like JP Duminy, David Miller and Hashim Amla. However, to win the team against Bangladesh, it is necessary that the batsmen return to their colors.

However, South Africa’s bowling is quite strong and in the last match, it prevented England from reaching huge scores. The team has fast bowlers like Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Angadi, who are extremely dangerous. While spinner Imran Tahir can create problems for Bangladesh.

However, Bangladesh is struggling with its players’ injuries. Tamim Iqbal has been injured in the wrist, then captain Mashrafe Mortaza is also complaining of muscle strain. Apart from this, fast bowler Mushfiqur Rahman, Mahmudullah and Shakib Al Hasan have also been battling injuries. Well the batting and bowling of this team is fantastic and it keeps on striving to defeat any team.

India vs Bangladesh Live Blog and Score ICC World Cup 2019 Warm Up Match

May 28, 2019 by Deepak Jangra Leave a Comment

India had a horrendous outing in their first-warm match of the World Cup against New Zealand at the Kennington Oval in London. The Men in Blue couldn’t handle the Kiwis fast bowlers, especially Trent Boult and got bowled out for a paltry 179. The bowlers tried hard but to no avail. Their second and final warm-up fixture is against Mashrafe Mortaza’s Bangladesh at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

The Tigers, on the contrary, would be disappointed after their opening practice game against Pakistan didn’t see a single ball being bowled due to persistent rain. Mortaza’s men’s confidence would be on the higher side as only a few days ago, they beat the Windies in the final of the tri-nation ODI series in Ireland. They remained unbeaten and it was also their maiden victory in a multi-nation tournament.
