IPL 2019: RR vs DC Delhi Will Try to Retain the Target of Winning

April 22, 2019 by Ydraft Editors Leave a Comment

IPL 2019: RR vs DC Delhi Will Try to Retain the Target of Winning: After winning several matches after losing to Jaipur several times, Delhi Capitals, confident of winning on their own ground, would like to retain this goal against the Rajasthan Royals against the Rajasthan Royals on Monday . Delhi has so far played out better than the domestic ground, but on Saturday, it won the third spot in the points table by defeating Kings XI Punjab by 5 wickets on Kotla. On the other hand Rajasthan also defeated a strong team like Mumbai Indians.

Steve Smith led the side by playing captaincy innings. Since both teams have won their last match, the competition on Monday will be exciting. Although Rajasthan has won 3 out of 9 matches, there will be more pressure to win on it. With the new captain Smith, Rajasthan would like to take full advantage of domestic conditions. However, the team will miss the opening batsman Jos Buttler. Ajinkya Rahane was removed from the captaincy due to poor performance of the team and also as an opener, Rahul Tripathi could be replaced by him. Tripathi had scored half centuries in 45 balls against Punjab, while Rahane scored 26 off 21 balls and his team lost the match by 12 runs.

Smith has returned to form after recovering from elbow injury. The performance of Sanju Samson and Ryan Parag on the other hand is also good. Bowling in death overs is of course worried. No bowler has been consistently performing well except Joefra Archer and leg spinner Shreyas Gopal.

On the other hand, Delhi has a strong batting line-up. Opener Shikhar Dhawan scored 56 runs in 41 balls against Punjab while captain Shreyas Iyer played an unbeaten 58 in 49 balls. Apart from them, Prithvi Sav, Rishabh Pant and Colin Ingram strengthen the batting order, Kagiso Rabada in bowling is in the best form. Pacer Ishant Sharma, spinner Sandeep Lamichane, Amit Mishra and Akshar Patel are also performing well. Another victory would be to pave the way for Delhi to enter the playoffs, and for this, its players will not miss the core.
