Game of Thrones Season 8 Deaths of Episode 5, Who Died?

May 14, 2019 by Ydraft Editors Leave a Comment

“Dracarys” and everything done! Episode 5 was the most intense episode of Game of Thrones. This is most bloodiest episode of Game of Thrones history so far, full of deaths.

Despite from the 1000s of innocent citizens and soldiers, here’s the look of some major deaths of episode 5 of Game of Thrones Season 8.

Varys

This was the last episode for Varys, he was burnt alive by mother of dragon. Tyrion tells Daenerys about Varys’ betrayal. We see Daenerys is in a bad state; bags under her eyes, frazzled hair, looking sickly. Times are bad. Daenerys says Jon and Tyrion are both also at fault. Jon, against Daenerys’ orders, told Sansa about his true identity, and Tyrion, once hearing it from Sansa, told Varys.

Thankfully for Tyrion, the punishment wasn’t doled out evenly. He got a stern talking to (“the next time you fail me will be the last time you fail me”) while Varys got execution by fire. He was led from his quarters by the Unsullied to Dragonstone’s shores, where he was sentenced to die. Varys tells Tyrion he hopes he’s wrong about Daenerys, then Drogon gets his dracarys on.

Euron Greyjoy

No one ever supposed he will died like this. The scene was putted forcely, just to cover the length of episode.

When city was falling, Jaime Lannister was racing to find Cersei Lannister. On his way, Euron confronted him, whose fleet had just been Drogon’d. He asks Jaime if he wants to try and kill another king before they all die, but Jaime isn’t interested. Then Euron mentioned that he slept with Cersei and it was immediately on.

The two scuffled, and Euron stabbed Jaime twice in the ribs. It looked like ye’ ol’ Kingslayer was a goner, but he got his second wind and impaled Euron against a rock.

Qyburn

How can we forget the hand of Cersei, who died in a extremely funny and intense situation. When Cersei, he, Ser Gregor Clegane and a bunch of guards, was running down a staircase as the walls and ceilings were falling. It’s around this time that they’re confronted by Sandor Clegane.

It. Is. Clegane. Bowl. Time.

Sandor wants Gregor. Gregor wants Sandor. Gregor advances. Qyburn tries to restrain him, telling him to stay by the Queen. Gregor grabs him and, with little more than a flick of the wrist, flings him several feet. Qyburns head smashes against a wall and then smashes open against some jagged stairs.

Cersei promptly exited as inconspicuously as possible.

Sandor Clegane, Gregor Clegane

Cleganebowl finally happened, and it was glorious. Gregor started with the high ground, but it was an even match. The two clung swords together. Gregor was stronger but Sandor faster. Our sweet Hound looked to have won when he stabbed The Mountain clean in the gut, but Gregor was unperturbed.

But Gregor is literally invincible?

Gregor beats down Sandor with his massive, genetically-enhanced fists. He strangles his little brother against the wall. Sandor pulls out a dagger and pokes holes into Gregor to no avail. Nothing hurts The Big Guy. Gregor lifts Sandor and tries to split his skull Oberyn Martell-style. Before he can manage it, though, Sandor puts his dagger through Gregor’s right eye.

Gregor stumbles back and seems to be injured. But he then stabilizes himself and starts pulling the dagger out like it’s nothing. The Hound isn’t having it, and tackles his older brother through the wall. The two fall several hundred feet into a pit of Drogon fire.

Rest in power, Hound. Rest in power.

Jaime and Cersei

We earlier mentioned about their death and the whole situation, the fact is Jaime wants to live with her and die with her. Both born together and both died together.

While escaping from the building they reached the end but the gate was filled with bricks and they were not able to surpass.

They embrace. Cersei says she wants their child to live. Jaime says they’re all that matters. The ceiling falls on top of them.

They shared a womb, now they share a tomb.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 They Ruined Her and What Next?

May 13, 2019 by Ydraft Editors Leave a Comment

Well, just one episode left for the end of final season of Game of Thrones, no doubt the episode 5th was extremely disappointing for viewers. The writers almost ruined each and every character that ever loved.

The journey started from season 1 with a hope and a vision to become the queen of seven kingdoms, making the world free from the curse of slavery, it’s all started from Daenerys Targaryen. However, it ending on the same character but how?

By ruining them and making them worse and worse. No doubt it’s only because of bad writing, they actually didn’t know what they are doing.

But let’s talk about all things one by one:

**Major Spoilers**

Daenerys Targaryen

Daenerys Targaryen
Daenerys Targaryen (Image: HBO)

I know everybody is curious about her, if you haven’t watch the show yet, probably, you will end up hating her. Because they ruined her character in such a way that seasonal fan’s are not able to absorb this, even several started discussions like; #DaenerysDie, etc

In short words, she burnt everybody who came across in her way. Even after Tyrion indication of ringing the bell to stop the battle.

Daenerys Burning the city

It doesn’t make any sense that after ringing the bell, she continues burning the city. Well, it can be seen that she was frustrated, depressed, and when she saw the building where Cersei lives, it reminds her, how her family was murdered and how they lost their throne.

Basically, she took that so much personally and in the end, ASHES AND ASHES!

Now, let’s jump into the beginning. Lord Varys, I mean he was a good guy and I personally feel he was one of the intelligent character in the show. But he turns too quickly, way too quickly guys against her.

Lord Varys Burnt Alive by Dragon

And Dany’s decision to burning him alive was the appropriate but writers can do better than that because characters who are together supporting each other from last 7 seasons, they turn against Dany like like… I don’t remember the word.

Jon Snow was nothing in this episode, it was like they included him only for the references’ purposes, like they have Jon Snow in Game of Thrones show. And completely agreed the episode was not for him, it was only for Queen Daenerys.

Despite of her words in season 6, I’m not like my father “Mad King”, she actually become the Mad Queen.

And the fact of Mad Queen is still annoy me and I guess most you guys!

First in the episode, Dany was too depressed because everyone betrayed her. Jon Snow told her sisters about his real identity, Varys planning to take down her, etc

Finally they ruined her character. Daenerys Targaryen hit her final form as she abandoned the advice to not use weapons of mass destruction—which is what a dragon pretty much is—on the innocents of (the surprisingly large) King’s Landing. Despite an obvious win over the Lannisters, Dany hears the bells of surrender, and rather than offer mercy, she goes off her rocker and torches everything in sight, children included. It’s been hinted that Dany was becoming too obsessive over the throne and had some of the characteristics of her father, the Mad King, but this heel turn came with whiplash.

Daenerys, Dragon and Tyrion
Daenerys, Dragon and Tyrion – Dragon ready to burn the city (Image: HBO)

Consider a time when rooting for Daenerys was the easiest thing about this show. She was the kind but steel-hearted “Breaker of Chains” who could broker peace with barbarians and slaves alike. We called her “Dany” and watched her talent for barbecuing slavers and enemies become a thing of satisfaction. From the first episode on, the series made us witness her trials—birthing dragons, freeing cities, saving dumbass Jon Snow, and helping to defeat the Night King. But now we’re meant to believe that the most reasonably lovable protagonist is now the show’s most unreasonable villain?

For a good seven seasons and change, this series has hammered in the idea of Dany’s aptitude for fairness; a queen interested in equality, with the one requirement being loyalty—bend the knee, and we won’t have problems, she’d say. The paradox of that comes in the constant reminder that Targaryen blood is susceptible to mental fuckery, as Varys puts it: “Every time a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin.” You’d expect the groundwork to be laid for this transition by now—the show has made a small attempt to show her as increasingly isolated—but we’re asked to ignore nearly everything we know about this character. Suddenly, because our queen is lonely and has been betrayed yet again, she’s down with torching thousands of people who are captives in their own right. As if the sounds of cries wouldn’t make her pause? Come on.

It’s possible that this character arc could have worked if the seeds to this decision were planted earlier and cultivated. Maybe if he finishes the books, George R. R. Martin will be able to show her descent into madness in a way that shows the tragedy of it all and what happens to a person consumed by their lust for power. But this show did Daenerys dirty.

At last just few words, I’m not a writer but anyone who have even 0.1% interest in movies and novels, can write a better so-called ending than this.

But still the final episode will be interesting, how Dany will confront everyone? Especially Jon and Tyrion. There are two possible things can happen in the next episode:

Someone from Jon, Tyrion, Bran, and Arya will kill her and take the Iron Throne. And most probably handed over to Tyrion. The reason why named Tyrion for Iron Throne for specific reasons:

Jon Snow talking to Dany in episode 5

Firstly, Jon Snow don’t have any interest to become a king and not after the king of dead’s landing, where million of innocent people died.

Arya Stark in episode 5

Second, Arya I can’t say anything but it seems like she will not (I know now, her fans will jump on me, etc but this is just an assumption.. Guys)

Tyrion
Tyrion (Image: HBO)

Lastly, Tyrion I believe now he is the only and right candidate for Iron Throne and probably everyone else want to see him. Also, we can’t ignore the tweet from Stephen King about the ending of Game of Thrones,

Suppose–just suppose, now–that Jon and Dani BOTH died (along with Cersei, of course). Suppose–just suppose–that a certain little man with a big heart ended up sitting on the Iron Throne?

— Stephen King (@StephenKing) May 6, 2019

And Bran Stark, because he is dark-horse, even still his appearance Did not last long but who knows what they have wrote.

So, this is it for this post. I saved my words for recap of this episode and it will be soon live, so stay tuned and meanwhile follow us at @TheYdraft for all interesting stories!

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6 Trailer, Preview Breakdown

May 13, 2019 by Dev Leave a Comment

Episode 5 of Game of Thrones Season 8 was one of the most intense episodes of Game of Thrones, we’ve ever gotten Ned Stark’s execution and the Red Wedding, we’re nothing compared to how intense episode 5 was. And I got to say I enjoyed a majority of it and I was surprised a few times especially with Jaime but I will save my thoughts for the episode review on a secondary post.

However, I will say this here now for those of you who died this episode actual name characters not background extras you guys had some good send offs all with the exception of one person and I don’t even need to tell you guys who the fuck I’m talking about that was so dumb but for now let’s focus on the final preview the final episode preview actually.

Tyrion
Tyrion (Image: HBO)

I must say it is bittersweet following this show for almost ten years but this is it the final episode. The preview with John Dallas and Tyrion walking through the remains of King’s Landing and I got to say the set for this episode was OnPoint destruction and chaos everywhere and they did it beautifully at first throughout the preview. I was wondering oh it’s snowing again but no that’s actually ash raining down.

Burnt Kings Landing
Burnt Kings Landing (Image: HBO)

Now, I’m kind of confused in the whole let’s burn the city down shtick she’s going for here. See, I really do feel like an asshole. I also don’t understand the point of continuously firing on the city like what was that gonna accomplish as well as the Dothraki charging in there and killing indiscriminately but whatever I want to say that perhaps Danny gave the order to kill them all regardless of the bells because Tyrion kept rambling on about the bells to her and I’m thinking she lightly gave the orders about the bells you know to her their allies and to ignore them and told them all to go crazy and just do whatever. we also see a shot of the red keep still intact but I’m sure the roof of the throne room has collapsed.

Arya Stark looking at Daenerys
Arya Stark looking at Daenerys (Image: HBO)

If so, then it’s in line with the vision we saw in the house of the undying back in season two that Dany also saw where she walks through a destroyed throne room.

We then cut to Arya watching what appears to be a victory celebration and likely a speech from Danny as a dothraki and the unsullied gather around you can easily tell who the worst person and bad guy in the series is when Arya looks at them that way her Q rating for the show and a shout-out from Drake means that she’s top tier character status now for the series.

If Arya looks at a puppy like that you can bet that they wrote that puppy responsible for both the Holocaust and 9/11 and by the way I’m just gonna say this now the fact that aria has incredible plot armor annoys me so damn much!

At least with Jon Snow swords and arrows don’t harm him but Arya debris fire hordes of people stomping on her spine don’t even stop her. I wouldn’t be surprised if the last scene of this entire series is Arya getting a raven from Nick Fury about The Avengers initiative and next we have Tyrion who follows incautious and pissed off as a Dothraki all raised their weapons in a cheer.

Daenerys Targaryen Walks in flanked by Unsullied
Daenerys Targaryen Walks in flanked by Unsullied (Image: HBO)

While Dani walks in flanked by an Sully so, the imagery here is clear she burned them all just like her father the “Mad King” wanted I also need to call back to something Varys told alehna and about Littlefinger back in season 3 about how Littlefinger would see the country burn if he could be king in the ashes well it turns out that includes Daenerys as well I guess and once again I’m also getting ahead of myself but her snapping like that came out of nowhere.

One thing I’m curious about for them for the next episode is how she justifies killing innocent people how she just does how she justifies destroying a city that her ancestors built and how she justifies killing enemy soldiers for what their queen did it’s gonna be an interesting next episode.

I gotta say I didn’t expect Daenerys to be our final endgame boss our hidden boss if you will I was completely okay with a crazy pregnant woman and her pirate boyfriend being like the main villains but I guess you know I don’t know what to make of this if it’s irony cliche or bad writing that Daenerys turns out to be our final endgame villain if you will especially with the way Arya looked at her did you know she’s up for the Avengers initiative I don’t know. But let’s see.!

Let us know your thoughts at @TheYdraft. Stay tuned!

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5: Born Together, Die Together *Spoilers*

May 13, 2019 by Ydraft Editors Leave a Comment

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5: Born Together, Die Together: The second last episode of Game of Thrones Season 8 has been aired. Lots of unexpected things happened in tonight’s episode.

**Spoiler Ahead from the episode 5**

Basically, it was anticipated Daenerys Targaryen will become the Mad Queen in episode and will burn the whole city. Yes, she turns into Mad Queen and burnt the whole city.

Daenerys Burning the city

It was also believed that Jamie will killed the Cersei but nothing happens like that instead Jaime came from North to South, just to save Cersei.

And he was caught by the Daenerys guards in middle but Tyrion came to the tent and released him and told him that he want to stop the fight and 1000s of westeros.

Tyrion also told him to ring the bell, in simple words “the sign to stop the battle”.

Jaime and Tyrion Talking

Later on next day, the war has been already started and Dany killed more than half of Lannister’s army.

Somehow the bell rings but Dany didn’t stopped and started burning the whole city and it’s innocent people and of course the Cersei’s private apartment.

She was tried to escape from the building and in the middle she finds Jaime. They hugged together both reached the end of the building but door was filled with bricks.

Cersei said, “Don’t let me die Jaime, don’t let me die please!”

They saw their time has come, both hugged each other and Jaime final words, “Nothing else has matter, nothing else! Only us.”

And the building fell.!!!

The meaning of this is that both born together, and now they’re dies together!

Stay tuned more  coming!
