The long-awaited feature and probably the controversial one too! An hour ago, Twitter announced that they would add the “edit” button. Soon users will be able to edit their tweets.
Twitter doesn’t allow editing after publishing. As of now, if you tweet something. You won’t be able to edit afterward, whether you have posted an image, video, or just simple text. You must delete them and post them again if you mistakenly spelled them wrong or unknowingly posted them. However, this is now changing; soon, all people will be able to edit theirs after posting.
They announced this news via twitter and quoting, “if you see an edited Tweet it’s because we’re testing the edit button this is happening and you’ll be okay“
The new edit button is currently in beta (testing) mode and available to some users. Those tweets who are edited will edit icon with timestamp of last edit, according to the blog post.
Recently, Twitter also added a new feature called the circle. You can create a circle of people who follow you to share your post only with them.
For people outside the circle, it’s private similar to Instagram’s close friends feature.
