This spring has been a trial for movie fans, particularly Marvel fans. With that studio it’s not just one movie that gets delayed — it’s an entire slate. The pandemic has forced the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 well into 2022. There’s one bummer of a headline after another.
However, some fans think the delay could work to the advantage of one specific upcoming Marvel movie: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. That movie had already had to sort out a director switch. Now there’s more time for the new team to start fresh.
What happened with the Doctor Strange director?
Doctor Strange was something of a surprise success for Marvel in 2016. The title character arguably had his greatest success in the ’70s with the van art crowd, but he was never truly mainstream, as some of his comic contemporaries. So a Doctor Strange movie was something of a roll of the dice for Marvel.
As Marvel often does, they succeeded better than many people expected. Some thought the character was basically a mystical Tony Stark, but other people praised the film for its trippy visuals, which strongly resembled Inception. The movie made $232 million domestic and $335 million overseas, according to Deadline. That was enough to justify a sequel.
Director Scott Derrickson had been praised for his imaginative direction, and he was all set to return to the director’s chair for a sequel. Unfortunately, creative differences got in the way, and Derrickson left the project. His replacement, however, delighted many fans: Sam Raimi, who had directed, among many other movies, the three Spider=Man films with Tobey Maguire.
Why might the delay be good for the Doctor Strange sequel?
On Reddit, fans got to talking about the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk, which has had relatively little information released so far. A fan posted a tweet that indicated a She-Hulk script was finished. That got fans talking about other future projects, including the Strange sequel.
When Raimi was announced as the replacement in February, the studio was in a time crunch, having committed to a May start date. That seemed like an awfully short time for a new director, even an experienced one like Raimi, to get things up and running. Then the shutdown hit.
A fan on Reddit asked “I wonder if this quarantine will be helpful to writers, and therefore helpful on getting more quality original content and not rushjobs.” Another fan responded, “It’s at least going to help Raimi on Doctor Strange. It was going to be a time crunch if he had to get the script done by May.
Sam Raimi has had plenty of time to recharge already
Another factor that may help is that, judging by his filmography, he was well-rested and ready to go when he was announced as the new director. He had not directed a theatrical feature since Oz: The Great and Powerful in 2013. In fact, he had made only that and the horror film Drag Me to Hell since he made Spider-Man 3. Many fans were unhappy with that movie, and Raimi said he was frustrated by studio interference.
Still, Raimi had enormous fan goodwill based on the first two Maguire standalone movies all by themselves. Multiverse of Madness had been described as Marvel’s stab at a horror movie, and if that’s true, Raimi is an ideal choice, having filmed the Evil Dead series, not counting the remake.
Even before Raimi came on board, Multiverse of Madness was supposed to connect to the Disney+ series WandaVision in some way. Whether that’s still true after the pandemic delays is anybody’s guess. Nothing has been officially announced about that series or any of the other Marvel series, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki, which was also supposed to connect to Multiverse of Madness somehow. As it stands, Multiverse is scheduled for release in March 2022, so Marvel has quite a bit of time to sort through the delays.

DCEU: Henry Cavill’s Superman Finally Dons An Iconic (And Very Different) Look in New Fan Art
The jury is still out on when or even if fans will see a Man of Steel sequel. But by all accounts, Henry Cavill is still very much Superman in the DC Extended Universe. The actor will, of course, appear in the upcoming HBO Max release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League in 2021.
And rumors are swirling that Cavill could reprise Superman in Shazam! 2 the following year. Yet, one big question some fans have is whether Cavill will finally appear in one of Superman’s most famous suits.
‘Man of Steel’ took liberties with Superman’s suit
Arguably, no superhero outfit is as iconic as Superman’s. The blue suit, red cape, and large S — his family crest — are known the world over. And in most screen adaptations, the design doesn’t change too much. The color tones are adjusted, as is the size of the chest. But the spandex material and general look remains fairly uniform.
Yet, just as Man of Steel reboots the character’s mythos, his suit gets an upgrade as well. Rather than a spandex-style suit, Cavill’s appears more like armor. Plus, his incarnation does away with the red bottoms of traditional suits. Instead, the colors are darkened, and the only red is on the cape and chest piece. But when Cavill does return, Superman might look different.
Fans wanted his iconic black suit from the comics in ‘Justice League’
When Cavill does come back, his Superman will probably more closely resemble his traditional portrayal, both in suit and in attitude. But the DCEU shouldn’t miss the chance to bring one of the character’s most famous looks to life. Fans have been waiting for Cavill’s Superman to wear the black suit he does in the comics.
Back in the 1990s, DC Comics killed off Superman in epic fashion. And when he returned, the Man of Steel wore a black and silver “recovery suit.” Its design absorbs solar energy to recharge his power and protect him in a weakened state. And since the DCEU borrowed elements from this storyline, some fans were disappointed it didn’t appear in Justice League.
Now a digital artist with the username “Mizuri” has posted a piece of fan art on Instagram. The image is based on a poster for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But this time, Cavill’s Superman wears the black suit, along with the long hair and beard of some comics appearances. But will fans ever see Cavill actually bring this look to the big screen?
How Henry Cavill’s Superman could still don the black suit on screen
The answer is a definitive “maybe.” With work on the Justice League Snyder cut underway, it’s possible the black suit could be added in for that release. After all, Superman’s resurrection would be the most natural place to feature it. And the black suit was originally meant to at least pop up briefly.
Even if that doesn’t happen, it seems like fans will have several other chances to see Cavill trade Superman’s traditional red and blue for some black and silver action. With any luck, the actor will reprise the role in a few new projects, including Man of Steel 2. Fans just have to wait and see.

WWE: Dying For Drew McIntyre’s Superhuman Physique? Check Out Some Health Tips From The Star Himself
WWE superstar Drew McIntyre and his version 2.0 is surely a case study for many. Although he seemed promising talent right from his debut, he always lacked that much-needed X-factor.
In the current run, Drew McIntyre has been surprising the fans by knocking down some big guns of WWE. His transformation from a babyface to a giant killer is simply amazing. He has beefed up incredibly and his dominant physique has changed his attitude for good. But do you know, how he got that dream body? Read on to know more.
Drew McIntyre spilled it all during his talk with 411Mania. Speaking about his weekly routine, Drew said, “For my weekly training I use an app that trainer Rob McIntyre (no relation) created. It’s one that I and a bunch of WWE superstars use. For four days a week it’s a plan of working with weights, but you can never predict what it’s going to be because every six weeks the program changes dramatically.”
Drew further informed about what he doesn’t do. He stated, “A lot of the guys do CrossFit too, but I don’t understand how – wrestling is hard enough on the body without doing a million movements that require very specific form! I tried CrossFit, but it’s not for me. I don’t do so much sparring when I’m on the road full-time. We have a very busy schedule as there’s generally four shows a week. (Three are not televised, one is a live TV show). We also have an international tour which is two straight weeks, that happens twice a year, and there can be other times when we’re on the road for maybe two or three weeks at a time. I’ve developed a good stretching program, which is vital for injury prevention, with different rehab moves as well as dynamic and static movements.”
Last but not the least, Drew single out the nutrition as the biggest game-changer. He confessed of not following any particular diet. He also stated that he has cut down on night out plans for his nutrition.
What do you think about Drew McIntyre’s tips?

Avengers: Endgame: Not Iron Man, THIS Hilarious OG Superhero Left Thanos’ Snap Powerless
Avengers: Endgame gave tons of jaw-dropping moment to its fans. Every sequence led to an adrenaline rush – be it Black Widow’s (Scarlett Johansson) sacrifice or Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) powerless snap. While for the world it was Iron Man who was the superhero in the scenario, it may not be the truth!
We all know about how Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man took out infinity stones from Thanos gauntlet and leaves him powerless. That one remains to be one of the major highlights of the MCU film. However, now Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor has his own take, and you will be shocked to see his version.
The Panipat actor took to his Instagram handle and shared a hilarious video from Avengers: Endgame. The video begins with Josh Brolin’s Thanos super hyped to snap the world. However, the shocking part kicks in when he snaps but fails to succeed in his mission.
Cut to, Raaj Kumar in the frame holding a bunch of fused conductors in his hand. The veteran actor then mouths the dialogue, “Fuse conductor nikal liye hain humne Gendaswamy, fuse conductor.” Thanos then takes a look at his gauntlet and notices the missing infinity stones. Isn’t it hilarious? Arjun Kapoor sure has a sense of humour that tickles our funny bones.
For the unversed, the Raaj Kumar scene is from his film Tirangaa (1993) that also starred Nana Patekar in lead.
“The OG Avenger,” he captioned the video.
